Psychology from Brigham Young University Idaho

The purpose of the BYU-Idaho Psychology program is to use the study of behavior, mental states and processes to provide students with an opportunity to evaluate and modify their own behavior and goals in the light of psychological principles and LDS standards.

The courses are designed to ensure that students develop a foundation for further psychology study, enhance their understanding of the relationship of psychology to other disciplines, and provide means by which the principles of psychology can be used to improve life.

Provide students with quality instruction and “hands-on” training in the development and understanding of health care skills and services. Provide opportunities where learned skills and services can be practiced to better prepare students for future employment. Provide leadership and involvement opportunities for personal growth and development throughout the student’s Health Science experience. Help students increase their personal awareness of how their lifestyle affects their current health and risk for future disease. Exercise and Sports Science from Brigham Young University Idaho

The Department of Exercise and Sports Science is committed to serving a wide range of special interests for the general student body as well as faculty and staff. The department offers a teaching minor in Exercise and Sports Science and a Exercise and Sports Science Minor, as well as a coaching cluster.
