This combined 120 hour medical billing, coding and medical administrative course offers the skills needed to solve insurance billing problems, manually file claims (using the CPT and ICD-9 manual), complete common insurance forms, trace delinquent claims, appeal denied claims and use generic forms to streamline billing procedures.
The course covers the following areas: CPT (Introduction, Guidelines, Evaluation, and Management), specialty fields (such as surgery, radiography, and laboratory), ICD-9 (introduction and guidelines), and basic claims processes for medical insurance and third party reimbursements. You will learn how to find the service and codes using manuals, (CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS). This course includes administrative office skills in operational, customer service, patient care, billing and administrative skills.

Are you thinking about attending a dental assistant program? This 70-hour Dental Assisting Program will prepare you for entry level positions in one of the fastest growing health care positions - Dental Assisting. The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with all areas of pre-clinical dental assisting and provide training in the professional skills required to function as an assistant in the dental practice.
Additionally, this course is designed to prepare students to sit for the Pennsylvania Dental Radiological Procedure examination. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that any dental office employee who will be performing radiological procedures as auxiliary personnel (other than a licensed dentist or dental hygienist) must take and pass this state dental exam. The cost of this course includes the cost of the state examination.

The Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program at Bucks County Community College is a comprehensive, 60-hour didactic course. It will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, and community pharmacies , working under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.

The Radiography Program is a twenty-four month full-time program that will prepare you to enter the field of diagnostic medical imaging. A new class begins each May. Classroom activities, laboratory, and clinical activities assist in learning radiography. Patient care, radiation protection, and technical skills are emphasized throughout the curriculum. Current clinical sites are Grand View Hospital, St. Mary Medical Center, and Frankford Healthcare System Hospitals. You will receive a certificate at the successful completion of the program and will be eligible for the examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon passing the examination, you can become a registered Radiographer or Radiologic Technologist and may work in a variety of settings: hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, mobile x-ray companies, public health, and industry.

This certification program will prepare you - a Registered Radiological Technologist for an exciting career in MRI. This course will help you advance your skills in diagnostic imaging, enhance your earning potential, and earn Category A Continuing Education Credits, ASRT. The curriculum will include classroom, laboratory time and clinical activities, and will help you master the patient care and technical skills that this advanced modality requires. You will arrange the details of your clinical experience with guidelines from this program. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a certificate and be eligible to sit for the examination given by ARRT.
