Certificate Programs Psychology from Caldwell College

East-West Psychology is a multidisciplinary program concerned with the meeting of Eastern and Western spiritual and psychological traditions, and with the implications of this convergence for a diverse and multicultural world. The field is not committed to only one psychological school, philosophical system, spiritual tradition, or worldview. Rather it provides a larger context in which to study and integrate the following five East-West psychological approaches:

Depth Psychology: This approach explores the totality of the psyche: the relationship between the conscious and unconscious mind, the ego and the self, and the spiritual and religious nature of the psyche.

Transpersonal Psychology: This approach focuses on the study of experiences and ways of being that transcend the limits of egoic identity, and explores their psychological, philosophical, and social implications.
